Every German traveller flying into Cambodia must complete the Cambodia e-Arrival Card within the 7 days before landing—even with an approved eVisa in hand. Here is how the 7-day window works on multi-leg flights from Germany, which flight number to enter, and what happens at KTI and SAI airports.

German travellers flying into Cambodia must submit the online Cambodia e-Arrival Card within the 7 days before their landing date. It replaces the old paper immigration, health, and customs forms and generates a QR code scanned at Techo International (KTI), Siem Reap Angkor (SAI), or Sihanoukville (KOS). You still need a separate Cambodian visa.
For years, flying from Germany to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap meant receiving three slips of paper from cabin crew shortly before descent: an immigration arrival card, a health declaration, and a customs form. Since 2024, Cambodia has combined all three into a single digital declaration called the Cambodia e-Arrival Card (officially the Cambodia e-Arrival, or CeA).
Every German passport holder arriving by air must complete this declaration before reaching the immigration desk, regardless of whether they already hold a Cambodia Tourist eVisa (Type T), a Business eVisa (Type E), or plan to apply for a visa on arrival. Once submitted, the declaration returns a QR code. At the airport, the immigration officer scans that QR code alongside your German Reisepass and issues your v-Pass by email instead of stamping your passport with ink.

The Cambodia e-Arrival Card can only be filed within the 7 days before your arrival date in Cambodia. Because almost every itinerary from Frankfurt (FRA), Munich (MUC), Düsseldorf (DUS), or Berlin (BER) involves an overnight long-haul sector plus a regional connection in Asia or the Gulf, your arrival date in Cambodia is almost always one calendar day after your departure date from Germany.
Rule of thumb for German departures: Count the 7-day window backwards from the date your connecting flight lands at KTI, SAI, or KOS in Cambodia time (ICT, UTC+7)—not the day you check in at Frankfurt or Munich.
Many German travellers combine Cambodia with a longer Southeast Asia route—for example spending a week in Bangkok, Phuket, or Hanoi before flying into Siem Reap. If that is your plan, you do not have to file your Cambodia e-Arrival Card before leaving Germany if your Cambodian flight is still two weeks away. However, keeping track of a 7-day window mid-holiday is easy to forget.
When you apply for the e-Arrival Card through our service, you can submit your details as early as you like before leaving Germany. We hold your file securely, submit it the moment your 7-day window opens, and email your ready-to-scan QR code.

Completing the e-Arrival Card takes around ten minutes per person provided you have your documents ready. Every character must match your German Reisepass and your flight itinerary.
Pay close attention to the two fields added for 2026: your departure date from Cambodia and your next destination. If you are flying back to Frankfurt via Singapore, enter the date you leave Cambodia and list your next destination accordingly. If you file with us and have not booked onward travel yet, our form lets you say “not booked yet” and we email you to add it later.

The official Cambodia e-Arrival system lists three international airports: Techo International Airport (KTI) serving Phnom Penh, Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI) serving the Angkor temples, and Sihanoukville International Airport (KOS) on the south coast.
Submitting the e-Arrival Card requires an internet connection, but once generated, the QR code works offline as a screenshot, PDF download, or paper printout.
At Techo International Airport (KTI), which replaced the old PNH airport in September 2025, automated smart gates are available for eligible biometric passports alongside staffed counters.
If you already hold a Cambodia eVisa ($80 USD Tourist or $90 USD Business), skip the Visa on Arrival counter completely and go straight to the immigration line.
Once processed, Cambodian Immigration emails you a digital v-Pass that replaces the traditional ink arrival stamp in your passport.
What if you are travelling overland across Southeast Asia? First, remember that all Thailand–Cambodia land border crossings have been closed since 2025, so you cannot travel overland from Bangkok or Trat into Cambodia. Second, for open land borders with Vietnam or Laos, the official e-Arrival portal lists only the three international airports, and overland travellers have reported filling in paper arrival forms at the border post.
Need the visa as well before your trip? You can apply for the Cambodia eVisa online in 3–5 days with no photo required.
There is no joint or family e-Arrival Card. Every traveller in your party needs their own individual QR code tied to their own German Reisepass. We file a card for every traveller in a party, babies included, because each one travels on their own passport.
Our e-Arrival filing service is priced per traveller in USD: $20 Standard (delivered within 24 hours), $35 Rush (within 2 hours), or $60 Super Rush (within 15 minutes). We do not need a photo, and every tier includes free resubmission if Immigration flags a correction.
Whether your flight from Germany is next month or tonight, you can file your e-Arrival Card now and let our team deliver your verified QR code straight to your inbox.
